**Man Arrested After Incident Involving Handgun in Greece, NY**

On December 23, 2024, at approximately 12:11 PM, Greece Police Department officers responded to a report of menacing involving a handgun on McCall Road. According to reports, a group of individuals in a silver vehicle allegedly pointed a firearm at another individual.

Officers swiftly located the suspect vehicle, which had crashed into a tree near the intersection of Red Oak Drive and Elwood Drive. One person from the vehicle attempted to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended following a brief pursuit.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Izaiah Wade, a Greece resident, was found to be in possession of a defaced 9mm handgun. He was subsequently charged with **Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second and Third Degrees**.

Mr. Wade was arraigned in Greece Town Court and has been remanded to the county jail. Bail has been set at $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond, or $70,000 partially secured.

The Greece Police Department credited their officers’ swift response and teamwork for successfully handling the situation and ensuring public safety.
