Parents in the Greece Central School District have the opportunity to participate in a free Youth Mental Health First Aid Training event. The training is scheduled for May 19, 2025, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm and will be held at TSSF: Room 126A.

The event is designed to help parents recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges and learn how to interact with an adolescent in crisis. Limited to 20 participants, registration is required and can be completed at the provided online form.

Data cited for the need for such training shows that one in five teens and young adults lives with a mental health condition, with 50% of mental health illnesses beginning by age 14 and 75% by the mid-twenties.
