Geneva Opens Expanded Resource Recovery Park May 1

On May 1, 2025, the City of Geneva will open an expanded resource recovery park at the Doran Avenue site. The park will accept food waste, yard debris, trash, recycling, and metals. Electronics and large residential items, such as furniture, will not be accepted.

The facility will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Saturdays. City residents are required to obtain a recycling sticker and a trash punch card to use the site. Recycling stickers and punch cards will be available during a Mission Zero Event on April 26, 2025, and then at City Hall starting April 28, 2025. The cost for recycling is $20 per calendar year. Trash punch cards, which offer 52 punches (each punch covers two 30-gallon bags), are available for $75.

Residents of the Town of Geneva may also use the expansion by obtaining stickers and punch cards at Town Hall, with the same fees applicable. More information is available on the City of Geneva’s website.
