Cornell Launches Multi-Institution Cancer Research Initiative
Cornell University in Ithaca reported a new partnership focused on understanding how nutrition and metabolism affect the body’s ability to control cancer. Weill Cornell Medicine, Princeton University, The Rockefeller University, and Ludwig Cancer Research have united under the banner of the Weill Cancer Hub East. The initiative is supported by a $50 million gift from the Weill Family Foundation, directed by benefactors Joan and Sanford I. Weill.
The collaboration brings together researchers from multiple institutions with the goal of transforming cancer treatment. The program involves work at Weill Cornell Medicine, the Medical College, and the Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, with activities taking place in the Sandra and Edward Meyer Research and Education Building.
